If the Upper Filter Assembly turns freely, it is not locked into place. Turn the filter counterclockwise and ensure it is secure. Set the second, smaller filter into the hole where you retrieved it from. Be sure the Lower Filter is securely in place, and the Upper Filter Assembly is locked into place. To replace the dishwasher filter, follow these four steps that will work on most dishwasher models: Set the larger mesh filter back into the area you removed it from. This is why you can actually pry it open without having to worry about anything. However, it is important to mention that the filter is completely separate from the dishwasher. You might have a hard time removing the dishwasher’s filter. It reduces the amount of labor needed to manually wash the large amount of dirty dishe. Replacing the Filter The last thing you can do is to get the filter fully replaced. IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to dishwasher, do not operate your dishwasher without the filters properly installed. Commercial dishwashers are important tools for any commercial kitchen. Look for arrows indicating which way to twist. Step 3: Most cylindrical filters are located at the floor of the dishwasher and are removed by twist-lock. Step 2: Remove the lower dishwasher rack or roll out of the way. NOTE: The Upper Filter Assembly arrow does not have to align with the arrow in the Lower Filter as long as the filter is locked. Step 1: Fill a mixing bowl with hot water and dish soap. Then clean the filters under running water, using a soft cloth or non-abrasive brush. With both now separated, clear any large debris found along the inner wall of the filter into the garbage. If the filter has moved, firmly push the filter back in and then firmly push the button again. Firmly press the button, look to see if the filter has moved. By removing the bottom grill you should have better access to the stuck filter. Then push the tab with your thumb, and remove. Unplug the refrigerator and remove the bottom grill, follow the instructions in your Installation Instructions. If the filter is not fully seated (still turns freely), continue to turn the filter clockwise until it drops and locks into place. Rotate the inner filter until you feel there is enough room between the tab and the stainless steel rim. Continue to rotate until the filter is locked into place. Slowly rotate the filter clockwise until it drops into place.Insert the Upper Filter Assembly into the circular opening in the Lower Filter.

Noting the previous illustrations, place the Lower Filter under the Locating Tabs at the bottom of the dishwasher, so the round opening for the Upper Filter Assembly lines up with the circular opening in the bottom of the tub.
